Over the course of my first animation class at SCAD we recreated Star Wars scenes from the movie The Empire Strikes Back using a mix of 2D and 3D techniques. We were assigned various scenes from the movie, and were able to choose whether to animate in 2D or 3D. I tried to do as much as I could in 3D using Autodesk Maya which was especially difficult due to the time constraints and my unfamiliarity with the program.
